Frost Refrigerators
Very Efficient—Requires only 1/4 the power of the average
refrigerator. Needs 3/4 less solar modules to power it.
12/24 volt DC • 120 Volt AC
The operating cost of an appliance us usually much greater than the initial
cost of the appliance, so it makes sense to use efficient models. It is very
important to use efficient appliances with a independent energy system so
overall cost is less. Sun Frost units are custom built like fine furniture.
Outside finish is normally white Nevamar laminate, but can be ordered in
natural wood or over 100 colors of Nevamar, Formica or WilsonArt. The
spacious interior, made from sturdy fiberglass reinforced plastic is easy to
clean. Shelves are adjustable. The compressor and condenser is mounted on
top allowing heat to rise away from unit. Brushless motor in DC models
eliminates periodic servicing.

Superior Food Storage —Food is kept
fresher by maintaining high humidity, which prevents
freezer burn and wilting caused by water loss in food. This process dehydrates
food and increases energy used and increase frost buildup. The Sun Frost allows
fruits and vegetables to be stored in breathable containers, such as paper bags,
often doubling storage life.
Defrosting is seldom needed —Frost
build-up is extremely slow, because water vapor is the refrigerator section from
moist room air or food is not transformed into ice. When defrosting is needed,
usually once or twice a year, just transfer frozen food to the refrigerator
section and turn it off for 30 minutes. Ice quickly falls off of the smooth flat
surfaces in large pieces.

The top mounted condenser is easy to clean. Please allow at
least 6" clearance above units for heat ventilation. The Sun Frost’s
bottom, sides and back have zero clearance capability, so it can be built-in or
mounted on top of stand or cabinet. Energy Guide rating is 294 kWh/year.
RF16 has largest refrigerator
compartment. This model uses about 15 KiloWatt hours of electricity per
month in a 70 degree room temperature.

Amp Hours/Day listed in chart is for 12 volt models, 24 volt
models use half as many. Both 12 and 24 volt units use the same watts. Running
amps for each compressor: 12 volt is 5 amps, 24 volt is 2.5 amps, 120 volt is 1
amp. Starting amps for each compressor: 12 volt is 15 amps, 24 volt is 7.5 amps,
120 volt is 5 amps.
Interior
dimensions for all models are approximately 26”-28” wide by 20”-21” deep.
Exterior are 34.5” wide by 27.75” deep. Allow 4” clearance to open door. Door
hinge is full length piano hinge and is not reversible. The
RF16, RF19 and F19 have a compressor for each compartment. One compartment's
compressor can be
shut off to save energy when not needed. The DC compressor is dual voltage so it
works on both 12 or 24 volts.

These super insulated SunDanzer chest units have
4.3 inches thick polyurethane insulation. Outside cabinet is powdered
coated galvanized steel, inside is easy to clean aluminum with drain hole,
dual voltage compressor uses brushless motor. Includes baskets to help
organize food storage. Baskets can be located on bottom or hung from top
edge.
Interior dimensions: both are 16" wide front to back, 25" deep and both
have a shallow space above the compressor on the right side of 14" deep and
